The Hawaii District is building a
camp, the only one owned by Methodists
in the Pacific Basin, on
a 36 acre parcel in the mountains of
the Big Island. They need help
clearing the land and building. Teams
will have a variety of options
depending on what projects are
funded when a team is present.

galley of work done by VIM teams
already. Options will include construction
of cabins and bunk houses,
pavilions, and water systems, some
demolition of old buildings, chain
sawing trails through guava and
clearing land of guava, construction
of a campsite amphitheater from

Camp Magruder is inviting youth
groups to spend a week on the North
Oregon Coast, to experience serving
others, growing in their faith, and
having fun. Service
opportunities may include:
Helping local church members with
house work/repairs, assisting at
local food banks, trail work with
the Nature Conservancy, and projects
around Camp Magruder. Fee:
$240 per person includes lodging,
meals, service project support, and
program leadership. The
Magruder staff will lead evening
programs of team building, games,
faith-based discussions, and
campfires. Participants may
also enjoy kayaking, boating, or
swimming on Magruder’s fresh water
lake, walking on the beach,
exploring the tidepools, wave
jumping in the ocean, and much
more.Camp Magruder’s Youth in
Service Camp is open only to
organized youth groups, not
individuals.
