Individual Volunteer Opportunities
Individual Christian volunteer opportunities exist both in the United States and in many other countries around the world. See the Individual Application Information for an explanation of the placement process. For information on opportunities in the United States, see the listings for the USA.

For more detailed information on specific international opportunities or to learn more about becoming an individual volunteer, contact: UMVIM, SEJ at sejinfo@umvim.org. Additional priority requests for volunteers may be found on our Priority Needs page.

Additional opportunities for Individual Volunteer service exist through the General Board of Global Ministries and their program for Global Justice Volunteers.  The program is designed to enable young adults who are 18-25 years old to have short-term experiences living and learning along side people whose lives are shaped by justice work. The program provides opportunities for cross-cultural exposure, learning, and service. Through this program, a space is created for individuals who are willing to make short-term commitments to mission and who desire to explore the links between faith and justice.
